ABOUT US

In 2016 & 2018 we travelled to Cambodia and both times we came across fresh green pepper served on our food. Very different to the pepper we know here in NZ, its full and VERY fresh flavour with mint and eucalyptus notes.  Being huge ‘foodies’, we knew that we had to bring it back to share with Kiwis. Within 2 months of returning we were back to enquire. After some hunting down we came across Sela Pepper. Sela is co-op of approx 600 farmers who produce high quality pepper in a very small radius in the Memot Province. We were able to visit the farms and the factory, to meet with the hard working pepper farmers/employees to understand more about their organic, ethical and sustainable growing methods. It was incredible to see the end to end process and how labour intensive it is. We believe in supporting the Cambodian local economy and all of our  products are packaged in Cambodia. Over time we have made great relationships with both our suppliers and locals - even our first tuk tuk drivers cousin inviting us to her wedding - really immersing us in the local culture.
